August, 2013
The start of the construction
Market research guided us to a whole new concept for Armenia: a unique combination of hotel and hostel seamlessly integrated under one roof.
November, 2013
The branding
We finalized the branding strategy and the name for the upcoming project was set 'Kantar'. The project was named after Ghantar market, which was a distinct venue for the travelers of the East and West to meet, connect and trade, operated until 1920's right in the exact place of where the hotel building stands today.
July, 2014
Business operations
From the moment we opened in mid-summer, Kantar revolutionized the budget traveler market. Our performance surpassed industry benchmarks right from the start, with above-average figures for occupancy rates, RevPAR, ADR, and numerous other crucial hotel metrics.
January, 2020
Major renovations
After 6 years of operation, we redesigned all the common areas, getting an open-space for breakfast area and common-room, revamped the front desk to enhance guest comfort and convenience, renovated all shared hostel rooms, and introduced a new hotel-room design for Kantar.

31.000+ customers with an average 3-night stay have already been served during this period. Garnering over 3,000 reviews across various platforms, Kantar Yerevan has solidified its position among the top three properties in Armenia, recognized both as the most reviewed and the best-reviewed establishment in the region.
March, 2026
Upcoming project - Kantar Dilijan
Kantar Dilijan aims to introduce a distinctive hospitality concept by bringing the decade-long success of Kantar Yerevan to the city of Dilijan, positioned as one of the most sought-after tourist destinations in the South Caucasus.
